On a peninsula on the Keezer See, a new place made of wood is taking shape. With water access, mature trees and plenty of room to relax in nature.
The project in context
The grounds of the former manor house are being rethought. The project-related development plan procedure creates the basis for a development with holiday homes and apartments – embedded between water, existing buildings and partly wooded terrain. Not as a resort backdrop, but as a place that brings landscape, use and long-term quality together.
Architektur &
Entwicklung
01Planning
Current planning provides for ten to twelve buildings with a total of twelve to fifteen residential units. Smaller and medium-sized typologies make differentiated use of the site – with up to six beds per unit.
02Existing structures
Between the former manor house and the water stand existing bungalows; parts of the site are wooded. The development starts from what is already there and takes the place forward with a clear new structure.
03Development plan procedure
Initially there was no planning law in place for the site. The project-related development plan procedure has been started; the preliminary draft has been adopted and public participation is scheduled.
Location & context
The site sits elevated on a peninsula on the Keezer See, with its own water access and a quiet position on a cul-de-sac. Around 240 kilometres from Berlin, Keez combines natural surroundings, seclusion and the development scope of a large site.
