At the Schneidemühle in Semlin, a new place made of wood is taking shape, right by the water. Together with the town of Rathenow we are working on the development plan.
The project in context
Semlin is not a project imposed on the landscape. Together with the town, planners and the relevant authorities, the plan area is being developed so that woodland, flood protection, the distance to the shoreline and existing structures are all considered from the outset. This creates the basis for a place that suits its surroundings and holds up over the long term.
Ort &
Verfahren
01Resolution to prepare the plan
The resolution to prepare the development plan is now being submitted together with the town of Rathenow. In parallel, the amendment to the land use plan is being prepared.
02Natural environment
Woodland areas remain outside the plan area. The distance to the shoreline, flood protection and the ecological concerns of the site are integrated into the planning early on – not added afterwards.
03Creating the basis
The agreed plan area forms the basis for the next planning steps. Only through the procedure does a piece of land become a project that is viable in technical, public and long-term terms.
Location & context
The Schneidemühle lies in Semlin, a district of Rathenow, between existing buildings, woodland and the shoreline zone. The development is taking shape in dialogue with the town and follows the conditions of the place consistently.
